Jason is committed to making classical music more accessible, known for his engaging TV work on BBC programmes. In Singapore, he presented Project Symphony and contributed to BBC documentaries exploring arts and culture in Asia.
Born in the UK with Hong Kong roots, he studied cello and composition at Chetham’s, Oxford, and the Guildhall School of Music. After winning the BBC Young Conductors Workshop in 2002, he transitioned from performing to conducting.
Alongside his music career, Jason is also a leadership and executive coach. Through his Conducting Leadership workshops, he blends his conducting experience with integral coaching to work with global leaders – offering a unique perspective on leadership, self-development, and team dynamics drawn from the world beyond traditional corporate settings.
